Who We Are

Our Story

Remembrance Community Church held its first service on September 9, 2012, in the heart of Lomita, CA. We began as a group of passionate Jesus followers, eager to build a church known for its reliance on prayer, love for the Bible, and deep commitment to authentic relationships. Our vision was simple, to bring a fresh glimpse of Jesus to our neighbors.

Over the years, we have witnessed God's movement in profound ways within our community. Many of those who joined us in the early days are still with us today, while others have moved on to new chapters in their lives. We’ve seen new believers come to faith in Christ and grow in their walk with Him, step by step, toward spiritual maturity.

Our church has also become a refuge for those who have experienced "church hurt" or who have become disillusioned by the church. While we may still feel new in many ways, we are seeing God grow us into a more unified body, with a clearer understanding of who we are as a church and the mission He has uniquely called us to. We are excited for the future and the opportunities ahead, continuing to seek God’s guidance as we grow together as a church family.
